SR 67 Superstreet Corridor
The SR 67 Superstreet Corridor project aims to improve safety and traffic flow along SR 67 in Southeast Mississippi through intersection redesign and resurfacing.
It addresses transportation challenges along SR 67, a vital route connecting US Highway 49 to Interstate 10.
The project includes the redesign of 43 intersections, with 40 transformed into unsignalized Restricted Crossing U-Turns (RCUTs) and 3 as signalized RCUTs.
RCUTs restrict left-turn movements and facilitate U-turns at designated median openings to minimize conflict points and improve traffic flow.
The project aims to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time, and provide better access to daily destinations, including educational institutions and underserved communities.
