SR 67 Superstreet Corridor

The SR 67 Superstreet Corridor project aims to improve safety and traffic flow along SR 67 in Southeast Mississippi through intersection redesign and resurfacing.

• It addresses transportation challenges along SR 67, a vital route connecting US Highway 49 to Interstate 10.

• The project includes the redesign of 43 intersections, with 40 transformed into unsignalized Restricted Crossing U-Turns (RCUTs) and 3 as signalized RCUTs.

• RCUTs restrict left-turn movements and facilitate U-turns at designated median openings to minimize conflict points and improve traffic flow.

• The project aims to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time, and provide better access to daily destinations, including educational institutions and underserved communities.
